Insensitivity from Opposition

One would think the state opposition might show more respect for residents caught up in the RRL fiasco, instead of using us as a political football. From The Age today:

Opposition public transport spokeswoman Fiona Richardson accused the government of inconsistency after saying in mid-January it would proceed with the project. "We've seen more backflips and contortions than at a performance of Cirque du Soleil," she said. "Now we learn that they are proceeding with the acquisition of people's homes to enable the project to proceed."

The previous government dragged affected residents and traders of Footscray through misery with their appalling mismanagement of the RRL project. Smart alec comments by the opposition now only rub salt into the wounds by reminding us of how and why we were landed in this awful situation to begin with.
